CNN: Pence is said to be reluctant to use 25th because it could put the nation at risk:
(CNN)Vice President Mike Pence has not ruled out an effort to invoke the 25th Amendment and wants to preserve the option in case President Donald Trump becomes more unstable, a source close to the vice president says.
The source said there is some concern inside Pence's team that there are risks to invoking the 25th Amendment or even to an impeachment process, as Trump could take some sort of rash action putting the nation at risk. www.cnn.com/...
Holy Shit!
On the other hand, Lindsey Graham, on Thursday, was asked about using the 25th Amendment. Here’s his political weasel answer:
“As a Republican, I don’t support an effort to invoke the 25th Amendment... now. If something else happens, all options will be on the table...”
Ahhh, no, the options will not be an the table— because the table will most likely be overturned, splintered, and burning. The last terrorist attack developed over about 30 minutes from barrier breach to door smash.
From the logistics of holding a vote and then informing the House and Senate, the process will likely take an hour at least— and that’s before any obstruction from Trimp.
We need to stop the next terrorist attack now.
Just to be clear why this has me so concerned: in order to put the “nation at risk,” Trump would have to have cooperation from the military or law-enforcement agencies. For anyone in those agencies to back trump at at this point, they either have to be crazy... or they have to actually believe Trump has a realistic way to stay in office past the 20th. So they’re nuts, or planning a coup… or both.
