Below is an excerpt from a foreign policy journal that is thought to be very influential within the Administration. Subscriptions are almost impossible to obtain unless you work at State, DoD, or the White House. But I was able to obtain an advance copy of next month's issue.
Foreign Policy Firepower!
New Mobile Embassy Zeroes In On Peace In Iraq
The new M3600 Mobile Armored Embassy is a critical bridge to a new century of four-dimensional, full spectrum diplomacy. Developed as a joint venture between Halliburton and Powerline, it delivers a robust foreign policy package anywhere in the world while providing a 24/7 zero-static-footprint, up-armored, shirt-sleeve interior environment. Utilizing a 360 degree, proactive design philosophy... [blah, blah, blah...]
It just jabbers on like that through the entire article. There are a few details here and there: It is submergible to 50 feet. It can operate in a post-nuclear environment. And it is capable of producing a post-nuclear environment. The specs say there are various levels of interior trim, including a wide range of weapons and cafeterias.
Diplomatically, it is armed with a dozen 106-decibel bullhorns and a digital signboard that can display various pre-programmed messages such as, "SORRY ABOUT THE CLUSTER BOMBS." In addition to spreading good will, its rapid-fire 25mm cannons can spread enough lead to create a 100-yard zone of death in all directions.
One clever option is a robotic arm attachment. With it, you can repaint an average-size school in 23 seconds-- even if the school is on fire.
There is no timeline mentioned in the article. Repeat, NO timeline! Just a series of benchmarks. Oh, and a Fox television series, set in the M3600, is rumored to be in the works.
If there has already been a diary on this, let me know...
